A Basic Statement About Us
The Lander Church of Christ exists to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ, involve them in the fellowship of believers, and help develop their faith so they can effectively worship God and serve in His kingdom. What do we believe? Our purpose: to honor God with lives wholly devoted to him.
Basic Beliefs that anchor us together:
We believe in one God The Bible is the inspired word of God Our goal is to “speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where the Bible is silent.” We are committed to the continual study of God’s Word. The church is made up of God’s people here on earth. Salvation comes through: believing in the power and person of Jesus Christ (John 3:16) repenting, or changing the way we live that is against Jesus (Acts 2:37-38) confessing to other people that we are His (Romans 10:9-10) being baptized (immersed) into Christ (Romans 6:3-11) Christian conversion is not completed by following the steps of salvation…instead, a wonderful life in Jesus begins.
